Help

Mehfil lets you rent a backyard, a rooftop or a terrace by the hour. It is open in Karachi. You can browse the spaces in your browser now; the apps for iPhone and Android are on their way.

Signing in

Mehfil signs you in with your phone number: we send a six-digit code through WhatsApp or SMS, and there is no password. If the code does not come, check that the number is your own mobile number, written as 0300 1234567, wait for the timer on the screen, and press Send it again. Still nothing? Write to support@mehfilofficial.com with the number you are using and we will sort it out.

Changed your number? Do not sign in with the new one first: that makes a new, empty account. Sign in with your old number if it still works and write to us from Help, or email support@mehfilofficial.com with both numbers. Once we are sure it is you, we move your account, with its bookings and spaces, to the new number.

Booking a space

Choose an occasion or search, open a space, and pick a day and the hours you want. The listing shows the full price, including our fee, before you book. Some spaces can be booked straight away; for others the host confirms your request.

Paying

Only the Mehfil fee is paid to Mehfil — 12% of the price of the space, never on cleaning. You pay it by bank transfer from your own bank app, and pay the rest to your host in cash on the day. After a transfer you enter its transaction ID on the payment page, and the booking is confirmed once Mehfil sees the money in its own bank account. Card and wallet details, where those are offered, go to our payment provider and are never seen or stored by Mehfil. What Mehfil charges has worked examples.

Hosting

Hosts pay Mehfil nothing. Before a space goes live, the host verifies their identity and a person reviews the listing. A space can let a party run past midnight, until 2 am at the latest, only if its host keeps it open that late. List your space to start.

Banquet halls

Mehfil for Venues keeps a banquet hall’s diary, its bookings at the counter and on Mehfil, its team and its receipts in one place. It is opening to the halls we work with first. If you run one, write to support@mehfilofficial.com with your hall’s name and city, or sign in to the app, open Venues and press Tell Mehfil you run a hall.

If something goes wrong

Open the booking in the app and press Write to us about this booking; on the evening itself, from a little before it starts, its Problem right now? card has Tell Mehfil, which is read first. Anything else, go to Profile and press Get help. Read how disputes and damage claims are handled.
